| | | Re: Gymnopilus & Inocybe? The latter could be Melanoleuca that's not fully expanded yet? I would expect the pileus to be more fibrillose in the case of Inocybe, but I eagerly look forward to other opinions.
I would back up your Gymnopilus and say it's the species Gymnopilus penetrans. |

| | | Re: Gymnopilus & Inocybe? Hallo,
I also agree on the Gymnopilus. But for the 2nd I would opt for an Lyophyllum/Tephrocybe, although Melanoleuca also is not a bad idea. But the greyish colour of the gills and the scaly top of the stem could well lead to Lyophyllum. It has the appearance, as if the gills on the laying one turn darker where damaged. Do you remeber if they really where darkening?
best regards,
Andreas |

| | | Re: Gymnopilus & Inocybe? Hi,
the Inocybe-Melanoleuca-Lyophyllum would be one worth checking the identity, I think. If there is material left, one should try to determine, it should be something special in my opinion.
best regards,

| | | Re: Gymnopilus & Inocybe? unfortunately this fungus was from October. I have been to the same spot since and nothing has showed. The photo was just one on my ID pile
I remember that they did darken when I picked one and laid it on its side like that so could lyophyllum gangraenosum | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
