There was a whole mass of them growing among moss on the base of a treetrunk, and they were darker-brown when fresh than when scanned. (Glengarriff woods again, old oceanic)
Do the scans show one species at different stages or are a couple of different species muddled in together?

| | | Re: Sticta - but which? My feeling is that you have two species: 2&3 seem to have a different distribution of isidia/soralia form 1. Thallus of 3 seems paler but this may be an artefact of drying. Other than that, I can't add anything. |
