A Collection of Lichens

Since getting my camera I have started taking pictures of interesting lichen, unfortunatly I know less about lichens than I do about other fungi, so I have to ask for help with identifications. I apologise if I have put up a picture of the same type of lichen several times, sometimes the same species can look very different.

Hi Yashca, not sure how much help I'll be but here goes...

1. can't see very clearly but maybe Hypogymnia species
2 and 5. Xanthoria
4. Cladonia species

yes very much along Jenny's lines . . .

I think 1 is probably Hypogymnia physodes - also seen on 3

2, 3 and 5 look like Xanthoria parietina, greenish because (probably) shaded

4 definitely a Cladonia - it looks very like Cladonia coniocraea which tends to be the commonest one which looks like this in relatively polluted areas; but this is not a straightforward genus

Thanks Jenny & Chris, I didn't even notice that there was a small patch of Hypogymnia physodes on picture three, shows how observant I am!
