that appears to be an old ganoderma covered in another purple fungus? 
or another species altogether - mazegill? |

A rather darkly pigmented basidiome of Daedalea quercina Yascha
Genus and species
By the way, the common name for this fungus is the Oak Mazegill, so in theory, KT and Leif resolved your ID.
