either Flammulina velutipes, Kuehneromyces mutablis or a Pholiota

growing on sycamore

Not necessarily any of them Leif. The first shot doesn't look like any of them to be honest. It may be a Collybia of some kind. Remember what I wrote the other day about including info? Size, smell etc. is all necessary

Don't know though, they're starting to show their maturity.

Collybia? Hmmm i wouldnt have thought this....but ok

I have a cold so I couldnt smell it and it didn't bleed when cut.....anything else?

Well it might be F. velutipes. A shot of the stem would have been key!

could be an old velvet shank. but I think I shall throw collybia confluens into the pot!

KT! NOT a criticism, so don't hound me, but please make good use of your literature matey! If you've got a possible contender, save yourself time by looking it up in your book and seeing if features match. If they do, wahey- if not, then it's not looking good.
