| | | re: 10 Mushrooms To Identify Please. By the cap colour, gill attachment/colour i would suggest Tricholoma surphureum for No2.

| | | Re: 10 Mushrooms To Identify Please. Well, I'd say;
1. Mycena arcangeliana
2. Cortinarius or Inocybe. That umbo looks distinctive and there's a slightly rusty tinge on the stem, perhaps from spore deposit.
3. Not sure
4. A Mycena
5. One of the odd Russula. Not enough info really, but may immature specimens of R. sororia or closely related species. Maybe they smelled quite fetid?
6. Russula sp.
7. Mycena sp.
8. Collybia confluens
9. Collybia maculata
10. Same goes as for two, though a habitat clue might help genus ID.

| | | Re: 10 Mushrooms To Identify Please. The were all found in Lennox Forest, which is mainly coniferous with the majority being Picea abies but there are also deciduous patches with Beech, Birch, Oak, Chestnut and others.
This lot were mainly found under or around Spruce.

| | | Re: 10 Mushrooms To Identify Please. If I might be allowed to add my novice opinion on a couple of these please.
I think that: -
1 looks like Mycena arcangeliana - Angel's Bonnet.
4 looks like Mycena inclinata - Clustered Bonnet.
Wouldn't want to make out-and-out guesses so I'll not comment on the others.
Regards

| | | Re: 10 Mushrooms To Identify Please. Very kind comment Nick, and coming from someone of your undoubted expertise, all the more so.
But I am (and I know it) very much a novice. I am beginning to get the basics of recognising a few species, but that's about where I am at the minute.
But, with the assistance of everyone on this forum, and a general interest in the subject overall, I might eventually get a little better.
And - yes I do seem to like Mycena's - they have a habit of appearing more photogenic, although I'd be hard pressed to explain why.
Regards
