hi Leifus
looks a little small for applanatus even at a young stage; there are several very similar Crepidotus species separated largely (I'm afraid) by features of the spores; also your photo doesn't rule out species in other genera - Cheimonophyllum candidissimum for example

That's useful to know ... I've got a Crepidotus to id, looks like it is not going to be quite as straightforward as I'd hoped.
