| | | Melanoleuca or Lyophyllum Here`s another that I have thought long and hard over.
It was growing on calcareous grass, (an interesting site, an old quarry next to a disused railway, currently used for cutting and storage of logs also host to bee hives and with a masive old beech stump in the middle). I lean to Melanoleuca but comments much appreciated.
Cheers

| | | Re: Melanoleuca or Lyophyllum Thanks Leifus
I thought from the lack of replies, that it was going to be a grey area. You would think, considering the large size and good condition, it would have been easy to establish the genera. Incidentally; I think melaleuca is currently polioleuca.
Thanks very much
