| | | Mycena sp:??? these were found today in leaf litter near oak trees today, growing in small troop of about 6, despite the keen frosts, they seemed to be thriving ok,
first thoughts were Mycena sp, with the shape of the cap and wooly base to stem, but the cinnamon brown gills do'nt seem to fit anything in my books, or am i reading to much into the gill colour,
any suggestions please ??

I did originally think Tubaria furfuracea, but I dissuaded myself from suggesting it |

the description of Collybia peronata in the book fits almost to the letter!
many thanks Nick, i would have had this as "Mycena sp: probably"
