| | | 3 Fungi for ID Please Fungi novice again.
Would appreciate any ID's / pointers for these three please.
Pics taken today 24th Nov. Predominantly Beech woodland.
Fungi 01 - Possibly Pleurotus ostreatus ?
Bluish grey cap, largest about 150mm wide.
Fungi 02
Approx 40mm wide - drab greenish/brown cap
(Could this possibly be Panellus serotinus ? Nearest I can find a similar photo of but stated to be rare - Jordan states young have creamy gills later turning yellowish).
Fungi 03
Largest approx 10mm diameter. On fallen Beech branch.
Hypoxylon sp. ? (Possibly fragiforme)
Regards

I would agree with all three of your suggestions Pleurotus ostreatus Panellus serotinus which is uncommon but certainly not rare and Hypoxylon. Fragiforme grows on Beech howeanum is found on Hazel and alder.

| | | Re: 3 Fungi for ID Please Pretty sure you're right with Panellus serotinus - it seems to be a late Autumn species.
I found this one a couple of weeks ago and it looks just like yours.

| | | Re: 3 Fungi for ID Please Thanks guys - considering last time I posted I'd wrongly identified honey fungus, I must be getting (slightly) better.
