| | parachutist Can you help with this one everyone?
Small parachute type, maybe mycena, omphalina, marasmius?
Peaty wet meadow substrate, near limestone, single, no others found.
No smell (too small maybe!), unsure of gills, didnt want to harm an only child, but overall, cap and stem off white, but with those wonderful cap striations and looking like an umbrella with stretched and broken top.
cheers
Ken

| | | Re: parachutist Hi Ken,
Looks like one of the delicate members of the genus Coprinus, which has now been subdivided into various other genuses. Coprinellus and Coprinopsis to name a couple.

| | Re: parachutist Thanks Nick - why is it never straightforward!!!!
But , as ever, grateful for a steer - will now do some more research.
What a bonny little thing this was.
Perhaps thats a clue - a bonn(y)et (similar to fairies, if you see my drift).
ps , the new yellow mycena has a message for you!
Ken
