I came across this "fairy ring” whilst out walking the dog one morning last week.

| | | Re: Fungi id please Out of interest KT, what makes you say this? I'm very interested how you reached that conclusion with no shots of macroscopic features like gills, stipe, smell, taste et-cetera! It's the wrong colour for starters!

| | | Re: Fungi id please sorry got the rotula bit wrong. I havent been in the books recently  I thought M. oreades because the mushrooms in the photo look very similar to a patch near me. The ones near me went this colour when old and waterlogged, also the caps went the shape that they do in the photo. |
