chanterelle ??

is this Cantharellus cibarius ??, found growing in a group of about 12, in mixed woods(mainly pine) , they were very wet and well past their best and tended to disintergrate when handled, so i di'dnt get a sample, no distinctive smell,

Thanks , stewy and nick, its the first time i've found this species,so i wanted to be sure of its id,
its been on top of my wanted list for a long time,
i feel like Homer simpson whos just found a sixpack of duffs in the fridge
