Maybe a semi-apt name for this species. The cap is indeed two-tone, but shame it's not a Pholiota  I suspect this would have previously been in the Pholiota genus but was probably found to have something uncharacteristic of the genus thus generating the genus, Kuehneromyces.
That's a complete guess though  |

If you check the Checklist you will see it has been a Pholiota and a Gallerina and a Dryophyla and a Lepiota.......
