| | | Re: Suillus sp? Surprised at that suggestion Mal. Looks like B/X. Chrysenteron to me too. On the part of the cap that is showing, a slighly scurfy/suede texture is evident with cracks in. The pores don't look right for B. badius to me.
What do you reckon?
I see now that the stipe is pretty characteristic of B. badius.
Always going to need as many shots as possible of the one species KT! You know how much it helps mate! |

as I've been on the site for a while now it's striking how different the way beginners (with all due respect) take photo's and the way you yourself would examine something are
that's something WAB can (and does) really contribute . . . and posters do learn that it's OK to carefully pick something, that smell and texture can be pointers . . .
