Found these today, both Jordan and Phillips say it's common yet it's the first
time i have seen it and notice there is no entry in the AtoZ.
gess i better get back there this week and try for some decent photo's.

I bet it won't be long before you find it somewhere else . . . it usually seems to work like that;
it's on several stumps in the park opposite where I live and once recognised never forgotten

There is now an A to Z entry for Auricularia mesenterica - Tripe Fungus. Yesterday was the first time I had seen this; At Bowdown Wood, Berks on a foray with JP and Fungi2bwith (Garry Rickard).
