| | | Finding Fungi Are there particularly good places to go and find Fungi or a particular time of year when you they are in greater numbers than normal. I guess that winter has got to be a pretty good time of year because of the damp conditions. |

| | | You have it in one, September / October / November is probably the best time due to the damp conditions, we certainly see most of our fugi at this time of year. Damp shady places, woods, field edges are good places to look. However the spread of fungi species is so wide you will find them almost anywhere and at any time.
Don't go to find edible species unless you know what you are looking for, some species are absolutley deadly, and they don't have to be red coloured to kill you, some look just like ordinary edible mushrooms. |
