Lots of these carpeting the ground - made it difficult to walk in places (I try to avoid treading on them). Only had my 105mm macro lens with me or I'd have taken a wider angled shot.
Help with id appreciated.

Clouded Agaric Clitocybe nebularis; exceptional shot, I must say (I know the problem of only having the 105mm as well  . . . but I still think this works . . . )
there has been a theory that the 'bloom' on the cap surface belongs to Volvariella surrecta the very rare Piggyback Rosegill (I ask you!) which only occasionally develops fruit-bodies
I think the jury is out on this on though - unless anyone else know something of this?
