| | | Ceps??? and others for I.D Ok here they are....
1.
2. These where numerous but confined to a small patch... i suspected a gallerina??
3. 2 species of boletus found growing in pine woods... there was 100's of these all over the place!!! There was a good mixture of both species but the one that was most abundant was the one with the bigger pores... this mushroom also smelt the nicest.....
and one of the many clusters of the smaller (big pore) boletus that i found...
4. A few of these growing next to old A.Pantherina's under a soletary pine....
i have more but i will post in new thread later... one more thing it was a muddy old day in the Forest and this didn't help.... |

I think the last photo's are probably Geoglossum cookeianum.

Unsure about two.
Three looks like Chalciporus piperatus. Should be hot to the taste.
Four is a Geoglossum

Rainy day! | Can you elaborate on number 3 please as there are two individual species in that photo... one had big spacey pores the other has smaller pores... the ones with smaller pores didn't smell to appetizing.. the larger pored ones smelt nice. |

| | | Re: Ceps??? and others for I.D Same species methinks. Both of them have pores that I'd expect to see in Chalciporus piperatus.
Just remember that every species has a boundary outside the usual features and just because they smelled different doesn't mean that they definitely are
Not sure though, would be good to get further feedback |

| | | Re: Ceps??? and others for I.D hi
yeah #1 not Galerina but a section Telamonia Cortinarius close to but not necessarily Cortinarius hemitrichus
I don't see a wide enough range of boletes round here to risk a comment here
last one certainly is a Geoglossum but I'm surprised that C & B can make out the tips of the paraphyses from this shot
if there's one group I would say you always have to check under the microscope it's these fellers - I have collected a group of four fruitbodies - identical in the field and growing within an inch or two of each other - when checked at home two species were involved . . .

| | | Re: Ceps??? and others for I.D I did use the word (probably), certainly wouldn't be certain without
microscopy, (i didn't add the phase as some people get tired of reading it).
