Not to stray from your original post J.P but talking of new finds, I found a beautiful specimen of Amanita gemmata on Saturday. I'm dead chuffed about that one |

We didn't see a bolete but i donsen't seem to matter.
I don't want to be boring but the finds included two C.militaris, pseudohydnum
gelatinosum, Innonotus dryadaeus, the prince, the smooth asterophora,
Rhodotus palmatus, Geoff went home with some rare psathyrella, 3 geastrum,
couple of cup fungi, species of amanita and cauliflower that are going to
kew for further investigation, most not found by me,
And i'm doing a post in a minute (is it a fungi?).

(Sarcocypha austriaca) yesterday,
so we decided it's spring. (keep an eye out for the cuckoo).
