Not to stray from your original post J.P but talking of new finds, I found a beautiful specimen of Amanita gemmata on Saturday. I'm dead chuffed about that one

Not a problem, that's one to tick of my list somewhen!

We didn't see a bolete but i donsen't seem to matter.

I don't want to be boring but the finds included two C.militaris, pseudohydnum
gelatinosum, Innonotus dryadaeus, the prince, the smooth asterophora,
Rhodotus palmatus, Geoff went home with some rare psathyrella, 3 geastrum,
couple of cup fungi, species of amanita and cauliflower that are going to
kew for further investigation, most not found by me,
And i'm doing a post in a minute (is it a fungi?).

I'd be interested if you could tell me about that Amanita when you get some info from Kew.

Just remembered that some one found scarlet elf cups
(Sarcocypha austriaca) yesterday,
so we decided it's spring. (keep an eye out for the cuckoo).
