Despite the brown appearance of the photos I think your mushroom looks like a Mycena (you describe it as white). I saw several similar yesterday, including galericulata, which was explained to me by a very knowledgable friend. I believe it's essential to examine the gills carefully, so as a minimum I would say you need a good shot of those.
