| | | Hygrocybe sp ? Found this little group today growing in moss ..standing no more than 3cms high sticky waxy caps of deep orange..
also can someone confirm that my next specimen is shaggy scalycap..found growing inside a rotten tree trunk..

I don't know off hand what your first fungus is Julie, but you look to be right with the second - Pholiota squarrosa, but if by chance this was Pine, there is a possibility it may be P.flammans - I can't make out what the colours want to be, golden yellow or yellow brown, because the cap is a bit 'burnt out'.
They seem too big to be P.flammans anyway.
