| | | Fungus Id`s please Hi everyone. I thought I`d better make an effort & try to identify all the fungus I have photographed durring the year. I`m starting with these, taken last week. Can anyone help with this first one, found under an Oak tree. It was about 1 1/2 inch diameter. The nearest I can find is Russula Atropurpurea. ( I only have basic guides!)
I think this one is Jelly antler fungus, Calocera viscosa
And is this, Many zoned polypore, Coriolus veriscolor
Thanks for your time.
Pam

| | | Re: Fungus Id`s please Hi boys, thanks for your help. The purple one that you say is Amethyst deciever doesn`t have a purple stem like it says it should have in my book, does it change latter in life? I know that things can vary greatly, thats why I have put off ID ing my fungus for so long, I can see it being a mine field!!!
Thanks for your help, Pam

Hi,
That positively is not an Amethyst deceiver but more likely to be a Wood Blewit, even though the colours are rather strong the gills are all wrong for Laccaria and it is way too robust, Lepista nuda for me.
