Found growing in an old fallen Silver Birch trunk.
Cap dia 20mm
Stem 20 x 12mm
I did find another of these the next day that was more mature and larger, but no camera. Still had the same stubby stem, though.
Your guidance appreciated.

I've never seen an Inocybe that looked like this, with such a chunky stipe
I would like to see how they developed, and if they turned into something that looked like one of the colour forms of Honey Fungus I wouldn't be totally surprised
interested to see what others think . . . .

In my defence the Rogers pic of Inocybe griseolilacina has the babies with pretty thick stems.
