The picture was taken while rushing for cover during a thunderstorm, so I didn't see exactly what it was growing on, but there are beech leaves in the picture. The brackets are huge, a foot or more across, at first glance it looked like cut stumps. |

| | | Re: Is this Giant Polypore? It must be growing on a beech, then. A pity, really. There are lots of beeches around Shoreham and they were looking really beautiful today.
