Excellent J.P. I found this only once in Farnham Park, Surrey. The floor was carpeted, but you've got to have good eyes to see the first one

I found some of this a few years ago on one of my local patches and it was quite common. I've looked for it every year since and found nothing! Just goes to show how variable fungi are.

Woops factor, i must offer a correction. this is Macrotyphula fistulosa
(the previous images are Macrotyphula filiformis).



Found today on an interesting foray with cybershot, we found both so the
two together are in the not to good image below.
