| | | garden fungi i have just found a list i made a couple weeks ago of various fungi that have appeared in my garden over the last few months, quite an interesting collection,
1/ Armillaria mellea - at base of silver birch
2/ Coprinus micaceus - on rockery , growing throgh landscape fabric!
3/ coprinus atramentarius - on remains of old fence post
4/ scleroderma citrina - on soil (due to be buried soon under new paved area
5/ auricularia auricula-judea - on dead branches of a honey locust tree
6/ lepista nuda - in mulch (3 seperate places)
7/ macrolepiota rhacodes - two seperate groups of 12 and 20 under acer & buddleia
8/ five unknown species
i have lived here over twenty years and the only previous fungi were a few small ones in the lawn , none in the neighbours gardens though ?
maybe i'm just lucky

| | | Re: garden fungi The only fungi I've had in my garden this year are Bolbitius titubans and Agrocybe praecox.
By the way, just for your notes, Macrolepiota rhacodes is now Chlorophyllum rhacodes- just to further confuse things, LOL |

and i've just got used to Coprinus and they have changed that as well!!!
