| | | Re: 2 mushrooms for ID Hi Leif, how's it going? You're getting out and about and checking out the fungi lately! It's good fun isn't it?
Number one, there's not really much chance due to the depth of field being so shallow and we'd really need more info if we were to nail it.
BUT
Number two is an excellent example of Hygrocybe psittacina, showing the beautiful grass green stem.

| | | Re: 2 mushrooms for ID Not necessarily KT! I have to say though, it's a massively variable species. I've seen H. psittacina that are bright yellow, but when you turn them over, there's the green tinge present, thus bringing you to H. psittacina.
One of my favourite Waxcaps! |

A photograph of the gills- and how they're attached to the stem/cap is a good starter, and a nice clear shot of the cap, showing its true colour, texture and general 'look'. |

| | | Re: 2 mushrooms for ID While I've got you two lads in the same thread, let me just say (with some sentiment ) that I'm glad you're taking an interest in Fungi! I got quite a lot of stick in my school days with having such a diverse hobby, but it's great to see that guys like you are keeping the current generation (I like to think that includes me ) going when fungi are concerned.
Keep it up |
