I have seen similar mushrooms in my field guide however nothing quite like these.
I would be very appreciative of a positive id on them.

| | | Re: Any ideas what these might be? You'd be right with that association Steve. I think Gledders placed the two uprooted specimens on the wood for a photograph. As Gledders said in the original post, they were found in woodland. |
