Im thinking this might be some kind of Amanita....
Now 2 questions, first of:
Q. Im a little confused with the naming of this Gymnopilus, i have always known this as Gymnopilus spectabilis but i read that it has (taxonomy) now been called Gymnopilus junonius. The problem is i always knew Gymnopilus junonius as the slightly smaller and more common Gymnopilus that is often seen.
Q. Which picture looks the better.... niether have been tweaked... |

2) could be an old washed out amanita rubuescens or it could be False Death Cap |
