my best guess so far is hypholoma lateritium ?? ,with the yelow gills, but not at all sure,

Hi Andy,
thanks for the id: i had looked at Gymnopilus but thought the gills were too yellow and larger than pictured in my books,
i failed to take the "variable" factor into consideration again ! ,
