Unknown Cortinarius sp.

Hello folks,

Any pointers identifying this Cortinarius would be greatly appreciated...


Scale of spore image 0.1 = 1.6µm

Habitat: Base of beech tree
Cap: 50mm, hemispherical, buff coloured, small dark pointed markings
Flesh: Thick, white, powdery
Gills: Adnate to decurrent, cortina present
Stem: 10x80mm, brown, latteral lines, ring present
Base: Clavate
Spores: White, 4.5 x 8µm, ovoid sometimes angular, one or two oil droplets

Hi Alex,

Luckily for me, this is an Armillaria sp. otherwise I doubt if I would have been able to identify it !!
