| | | tiny white bracketish ID please
one of a troop, growing on a stump (unknown) with some common ink caps near.
Slightly bell shaped cap, growing vertically on top of the flat cut stump.
Any ideas on this one please?

We're nowhere near xmas yet !!
Seriously if you want something like this Identified, you will have to show cap detail, plus detailed shot of underneath.

| | | Re: tiny white bracketish ID please Cheers Neil, fair comment - yes I know its not good, but this thing was so tiny, half inch high, so pics were difficult when ina rush. Poss not fully developed, so will try it again - i thought the bell top shape and bracket appearance might be distinctive enough!
anyway, this may help too - its the stump top.

| | | Re: tiny white bracketish ID please Slightly better, I can get a better prospective now, unfortunately I'm no closer to making a stab at this, it is still too young.
Try returning in a few weeks time.

| | Re: tiny white bracketish ID please KeenTeen, thats a good call - certainly looks like crepidotus as you say, maybe applanatus, poss lundellii - but Michael Jordan has aplanatus overlapping in groups, which this does, so that looks quite a good bet.
further pics if it helps anyone?
Thanks !
Ken

| | | Re: tiny white bracketish ID please This looks quite elastic suggesting Crepidotus mollis.
Try peeling the skin off the cap.
There is an outside chance this could be a white version of Jelly Ear, but C. mollis is best bet.
