Is anyone able to tell what this is, even if just the species?
It seems quite distinctive, but I'm not sure if they are just young mushrooms. I can't find anything similar, but the covering over the gills seems to match the Cortinarius sp, but that is just a guess.

Thanks Nick, looks like another confusing species, with quite a difference between the young ones and the more mature ones. |

Looking at the bulbous base, these could be A.lutea (formerly bulbosa/gallica) - the same as we found yesterday at Thelnetham Nick.

Neil. | I would agree with that as opposed to A. mellea. By the way in the checklist this is still called A. gallica not A. lutea.
