| | | Shaggy Inkcap confirm please? Hi guys,
for once in a way I'm convinced of an ID - but I would like a confirmation so that I can do the absurd hip swinging victory dance
I saw these beaties today and would like to know for sure that they are shaggy inkcaps pretty please. Having seen someone else posting a similar question I hope thats not a major irritant!

| | | Re: Shaggy Inkcap confirm please? just to add (not about the dance, which i'm sure will be worth the wait), but just been out into the local country park, lots of shaggies, but some interesting decay to be seen on them. One had a blob of glistening red inside, like a ruby, through some slug nibbled gaps in the cap, which was just the inner part deliquescing, but not black like the outer bits normally drip - anyone seen that before?
will post an image when I get back home if theres any interest.
cheers

it was just a drop of liquid inside the eaten cap, but how lovely that ruby was, lit up by the sun too!
I can only imagine its a deliquescing liquid like the black ink, but thats only at the bottom of the cap as far as I know.
Anyone else noticed this?
cheers
