| | | amanita sp for id given the confusion in the " wab clumber foray 2008 fungi id's" post over a.virosa and a.citrina , can any one confirm the id's of these amanitas i found this morning in clumber ?
no 1/ i think is a.virosa(could the brown on the cap could possibly be staining from fallen leaves??)
no 2/ a.citrina ??
no 3/ i thought was a.rubescens but it seems to lack any pink colouring where damaged/bruised
no 4 /a.rubescens ??

Your second again looks like it should be A citrina apart from the strange brown colouration, doesn't look quite right but probably is? The 3rd is a definite Blusher. Sorry about the ambiguity here but that is what the photos give me.

Andy | Hi Andy,
thanks for that,
no1 did indeed have the remnants of a bag around the bulb ,i did take pics of the base and stem , but i managed to somehow over expose them and all i got was a white blur.

Brian | No problem Brian, just wish I could have been more definite.
