| | | Ballerina I did a talk for the local "Women's Institute" tonight and it had been suggested, not by me that they brought in one or two fungi and just look what turned up
It had been in the fridge for a few days so not in pristine condition but so what

What a species to find. I'm 50% confident that I've seen one before I knew about fungi, but I'll never know!
Is this your first Mal? |

I have seen one once before and although I didn't "find" this one I am getting the exact site to be sure I do the next time one comes up.

John | I would agree with that John. Having missed out on Clumber it would be great to meat you. Even my trip to foray with Nick was cut short

John | It surely tempts me ......... When I went to the Lancashire site of Turn Slack Clough to see and photograph this I got these and did a little dance - but afterwards got told they were a pink/brown version of 'Parrots' called 'perplexa'......... it was me that was perplexed - and disappointed
The NWFG are due their regular visit to Turn Slack on 2nd Nov and I am off the two days after - so I may go and see if I can find the 'real one' yet again - other than that I can feel a trip to Longshaw coming on ........ Johhhhhnnnnnnnnnnn

Pauline | No problem Pauline
I'm doing my fungi photography event there again on the 30th October. The first hour or so will be dedicated to the waxcap meadow.
Although this event is fully booked I may be able to squeeze in a couple more. If not I could run another 'one off'
