brown fungi ID help

Hi all,
grateful for an ID please - open ground but beneath solitary birch, heathery/peaty substrate.
generally brown, yellowish gills, but with signs of a ring.
Just a mushroomy smell.
Seen before, so common I suspect, but unclear ID.

Looks to me likeArmillaria, Honey Fungus.

mmmmmmmmm! growing singly, wouldnt say no but most unlike honey.
I had some thoughts about plums and custard, ageing to brown - anyone any views on that?
