| | Where is everybody? - (Reply for ID.) Re Nick Cantle's query on lack of fungi for ID.
Complete fungi novice here.
Could Nick or anyone else point me in the right direction on these please?
Unfortunately, to make things even harder, I didn't upturn any for the underneath views.
All taken recently in a local mixed (but predominantly beech) woodland.
Apologies for quality of pics - all hand held - I'm trying to get a tripod sorted out this week.

| | | Re: Where is everybody? - (Reply for ID.) Hi
I would say;
1 - Piptoporus betulinus - Birch Polypore
2 - I can't see any black so they could be young Wrinkled Club - Clavulina rugosa
3 & 4 look like Kuehneromyces mutabilis - Sheathed Woodtuft
agree with the rest

Agreeing with Clavulina rugosa (no black), disagree with Piptoporus betulinus simply because the wood seems to be cherry.
Always prepared to be proved wrong

| | | Re: Where is everybody? - (Reply for ID.) Too technical for me at this stage
If it's any use, the branch in image 1 was broken off & lying on the ground.
Images 3 & 4 were taken within 2 metres of each other. - no other fungi in the vicinity, so they could well be same type at different stages of growth.
Thanks for all the help so far.
