Unknown fungus

Hi

Help please on this one

Found on well rotted wood , not sure what but there was a lot of Ash in the are.
The largest body was around 3cm accross and they were very gelatinous.

Hi Neil,

Only thing I can think of is that the wood is Beech (last of Beech to fall down say, 8 years ago ?) and the fungus is Oudemansiella mucida.

P.S. Would help if you flipped one over to show us gills and any stem.

Hi Neil,

there were no gills and no defined stem ? It was joined solidly to the wood centrally for about 50 % of the diameter or so , a bit like one of the crust type fungi. It was very jelly like but tough.
