Where is everybody?

It's that time of year when WAB usually gets a massive rush of people with fungi to ID. Last year, every time I returned from Uni, there would be a massive list of forum unknowns, loads of pictures uploaded, but this year? Nothing.

It seems the esteem of the fungi forum is slowly decreasing

I hope it really picks up mid October when everything really comes out.

When I am out and about again properly, there will be plenty of questions and probably plenty of mistakes on my part at least

I think I made a mistake in thinking the rush came this early. We generally have a wave of stoners asking 'Is this Psilocybe semilanceata' as if to say, "We're asking in Latin so you don't know that we're going to make tea with them afterwards".

On the subject of frost,am I right in thinking that is what sets the blewits fruiting ?

I've heard that, but I've found Blewits way before the frost Mmmmm I can't wait to collect Blewits again. One of my favourites

That reminds me, when the time comes I've got to give Cybershot the details of my old Blewit patch

I had many Blewits in my garden last year..and quite a size too..lets hope they return again soon..

I have never asked for ID's as yet, but keeping to my word if you recall Nick on my Final Cut thread, that I will be!!! Well I have spotted some beautiful Fungi today, so I'll be grabbing the camera and taking pics all of which will want Identifying!
