Found this on Staurday growing on an oak tree in a paddock,,, Wondered what it was,,,It was about 250 mm diameter

Polyporus squamosus is named the Dryad's Saddle due to its shape, but the latin name broken down means; 'Polyporus' i.e which genus it belongs to and 'Squamosus'- describing the squamules atop the species. |
