Photos are below.
The flesh was lemon yellow instantly blueing as I cut it.
There looks to be a red line above the pores - not so clear in the pic.
Rusty brown pores.
They were growing in a parkland environment at work near to some beech trees.
I think I've narrowed it down to 2 either B. Luridus or B. Erthyropus but I'm gonna go with Luridus due to the stem and the redish line.
This is the bit where you tell me I've missed by a mile.

Cheers Jon | I would say your were spot on. Reticulated stem blueing when cut and with the red line above the tubes - luridus.

| | | Re: 1 boletus sp. for id Yep does indeed cheers for advice Nick. Went for a quick stroll this morning and found troups of small mushrooms in oak woods, am gonna go back in the morning and have a go at iding those aswell.
