Fungi for ID

I'm afraid I have several fungi that I need help with. I'm totally new to fungi ID... and it has blown my mind looking at how many different ones there are.

Here is another set of pictures. I think they are all the same fungi. It was growing on moss covered willow in a wet wood. It was quite large 7-8 inches high.

Hi Jane, me again

Well let's start with a genus. The bottom photograph shows the bunch in a process called autodigestion which is characteristic of one genus only (I think!). That genus is Coprinus, commonly known as the Ink Caps. The sheer size of the main specimen in the first photograph suggests to me that this is Coprinus atromentarius. This is an edible species but must be consumed with much caution- if combined with even a small volume of alcohol, it can induce a coma.
