Please Help I.D. Strange Growth

Not sure if this photo shows a fungal growth or if it's some tiny creatures eggs but noticed it in our field this morning there were no other clumps about all there was, were a few cobwebs although there were reports of strange zig zagging fast moving redish lights in parts of Lincolnshire last week so it could be anything

That looks like the fruiting stage of the slime mould Mucilago crustacea.
