| | | Fungi finds at local park.. found these growing in small groups under young oak in bare soil..the smaller one were buried in the soil with the caps just showing..
The larger specimen have lovely purple gills..and was 7cms high and cap of 8cms..mealy smell..you are able to pull back the skin of the cap to expose a white underside.
help with an ID would be appreciated..

Do you know what Jules, I think it's another Cortinarius, but it's so easy to see how it'd be confused with Lepista nuda  I'm having trouble with these Cortinarius with no drastically distinctive features (there are thousands of them). I found various ones today, but hell If I'll be able to ID them. They all seem to be similar to yours- pale cap from dark straw to ochre, purple to pale purple gills.
