| | | Re: Amanita sp. 1 & 2 are Blushers in various guises I think Julie,
4 looks like emergent Parasol
but..........
3, if those veil remnants are as white as they look on that very brown background cap, could just be verging on 'Pantheresque'

| | | Re: Amanita sp. I think David is right about all- A. pantherina grows in a loose volval bag very similar to that of A. phalloides though, and that doesn't seem to be present, but that brown is very 'Pantheresque' and so are the spots. If it was in Beech woods, I'd say maybe. If this isn't A. pantherina, it's A. spissa.
Nick
EDIT; A closer look reveals an absolutely ice white stem; Like that I've never seen in A. spissa.

| | | Re: Amanita sp. The clincher, apart from the pure white veil remnants, is the smooth upper surface of the ring which unfortunately isn't yet visible on your emergent specimens

Julie | As it is on my Holy Grail Hit List and I've never spotted one in two years here, I may just arrange to meet you at Ashridge.
