| | | Bracket fungus id please My wife found this today and chopped off a few pieces for an id.We thought it might have been chicken of the woods as we'd driven past the site a few days agobut now think its a giant polypore based on a close examination. Are we correct?

I've ate a small amount of sauted young examples, they're not unpleasant and had an interesting chicken like texture.
But about an hour after eating I had a slight acid indigestion, nothing drastic, but they didn't taste good enough to risk eating in quantity, even though the indegestion may have been coincidence.
