| | | more for ID please Hi
Some images here of Mushrooms found on grassland - after a not too fruitful exploration through the woodlands i came out of the woods and crossed the grassed area to get back to my car. Here is where I found many more interesting beautiful examples.
here goes ...
A real beauty - Surely a member of the same family as fly agaric...?
Cap approx 110mm
Stem 140mm high and 20-30 mm thick.
A cute firm red/purple sample with nicely bulbous cap
Cap approx 50mm
Stem approx 40mm and 30mm thick - although tapering.
Loved the amazing crumbly top on this one.
Cap approx 110mm
Stem 120mm and 20mm ish thick.
A small cluster of chest-nutty blobs - looked quite edible - but I have no plans to eat anything until I am very sure of what it is.
Sizes varied massively here - but the largest here was about golf ball sized.
Your thoughts would be appreciated.

| | | Re: more for ID please 1 looks like an old Amanita pantherina (Same family as Fly Agaric ). I'd have said Blusher but there seems to be a volval bag attached to the bottom of the stem. Plus, I don't see much Blushing!
2 is a Russula.
3 Is Amanita rubescens
Not sure about 4,

Often they have a ring (some times 2) that is at the base of the stem, this ring normaly has a very slight in-groove | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
