| | | Fungus of the day! Well, you get the idea! I thought why should the bird forum, the insect forum and the mammal forum have this thread and the fungi forum not!?
Please post your pictures of your fungus or fungi of the day- It might be something which you've crawled through a thicket of thorns to find, it may be something which you tripped over at the local park. Be it big small, smelling of mouse pee or smelling of curry, I want to know what you've found that you're proud of!
You don't have to be sure of its identity either! (Surely the best bit )
Hope this might catch on and I look forward to seeing this thread build into a nice one with photos of 'finds of pride'

| | | Re: Fungus of the day! I'm dissapointed nickc, this could have been dung fungus of the day but
as it's not. Cudoniella acicularis
and very close by. Helvella latispora
(hope cybershot will post a better photo).
Cheers J.P.

| | | Re: Fungus of the day! My find of pride for today. Problem is, i am not sure of what it is! My initial thought was that of Amanita exclsa, but i am not so sure! Any help with its ID would be greeted with much glee.
